Cacao Hunters

Cacao Hunters is a Colombian company recognized for its work with fine-flavor and specialty cacao, with a long-standing commitment to producer communities in four regions: Tumaco, the Sierra Nevada, Cauca, and Arauca. After years of local impact, the company identified the need to establish a foundation to scale its model and strengthen the international positioning of Colombian cacao.

The Challenge

While sustainability was already part of the company’s DNA, its initiatives lacked structure and strategic alignment.

“We had been doing a lot for many years, but we needed structure and direction. We wanted to connect our purpose with clearer, measurable decisions.”
— Cacao Hunters Team

The challenge was to bring these efforts together, strengthen the impact narrative, and define a clear path for measurement, growth, and international reach.

The Solution

  • Designed a sustainability framework built around three pillars: regenerative agriculture, cacao pride, and rural entrepreneurship.

  • Developed a theory of change to align actions, outcomes, and impact.

  • Defined a roadmap with short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

  • Established an impact measurement structure with indicators to support management and communicate progress.

  • Strengthened the sustainability narrative for investors, partners, and international markets, reinforcing the company’s global positioning.
