CONTEXT

BPA OCUZCA is an agricultural and livestock organization that integrates sustainable production systems based on Good Agricultural Practices (BPA). Its model combines rural productivity, family wellbeing, and responsible land stewardship.

The organization is set out to strengthen its governance structure, professionalize operations, and build a robust impact measurement system to consolidate its social business model and pursue B-Corp certification.

CHALLENGE

While BPA OCUZCA had already implemented numerous impactful practices, the organization needed to consolidate its efforts into a clear, measurable, and scalable strategy.

The goal was to:

• Define measurable objectives.

• Establish decision-making roles and processes.

• Build a comprehensive impact measurement system to reinforce sustainability and support the B-Corp certification journey.
  

It was time to turn strong practices into a strategic, operational model.

SOLUTION

With guidance from Actual, BPA OCUZCA designed its sustainability strategy based on the practices it was already implementing.

We documented its environmental, social, and animal welfare efforts and crafted a strong narrative to position its model as an example of regenerative ranching. Alongside this, a premium commercialization strategy was developed — allowing the company to market its meat at a higher value.

To support internal alignment, we also co-created the School of Sustainable Ranching: a capacity-building platform to ensure operational consistency and deepen the team’s understanding of the model.

The entire process was geared toward preparing BPA OCUZCA for long-term sustainability and B-Corp certification.
